Village Personnel are planning to flush the Village Water System on the following dates: 4/3, 4/4, 4/5, 4/6, 4/10, and 4/11 from 8:00 PM until completed. We feel that this will cause less inconvenience to our customers and subject them to less roily conditions. If your water does become roily run your cold water until it clears up.

Please take notice that the Village of Sherburne Board of Trustees has scheduled a budget workshop for Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 9:30 AM in the Fire Department Meeting room at 15 West State Street, Sherburne, New York.
The Village Electric Department will be hosting a public meeting on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 7:00pm in the Sherburne-Earlville Middle School Gymnasium (lower gym).
The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public of the Village’s Fiber-to-the-Home initiative. There will be a short presentation followed by a public question and answer session.
The Village of Sherburne will have set hours this year for Trick or Treating on October 31st from 5PM until 8PM.
The Village of Sherburne Board of Trustees have scheduled a PUBLIC HEARING on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 3:30 PM in the Auditorium at the Municipal Building, 15 West State Street, Sherburne, New York for the purpose of hearing any and all comments on proposed Local Law No. 1 of 2022, “A local law regarding residency requirements for Village Police Officers”. Copies of the proposed Local Law are available for public inspection at the Village Clerk’s Office. Another scheduled public hearing will follow and the regularly scheduled Village Board meeting will immediately follow.
The Village of Sherburne Board of Trustees have scheduled a PUBLIC HEARING on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 3:30 PM in the Auditorium at the Municipal Building, 15 West State Street, Sherburne, New York for the purpose of hearing any and all comments on proposed Local Law No. 2 of 2022, a local law extending for an additional period of six (6) months the moratorium on new cryptocurrency mining businesses. Copies of the proposed Local Law are available for public inspection at the Village Clerk’s Office. The regularly scheduled Village Board meeting will immediately follow.
Yard Waste Pick Up
What the Village crew will pick up:
Leaves, weeds, lawn clippings put in paper yard waste bags or reusable containers.
Be mindful of the weight!
Sticks, limbs cut down to 5 ft or less.
The Village will NOT pick up:
Loose piles of leaves, weeds, lawn clippings,
Whole trees – speak to the Village if you have a tree or large pile of brush to dispose of.
Debris in plastic bags.
In the fall the Village crew will use the leaf machine to vacuum up leaves raked to the curb.
The leaf machine is only used in the fall.
